You are cordially invited to blah, blah, blah. When you
read those words you know that somebody close to you will
be getting married in the future. Wedding invitations are
supposed let your family and friends know that you and your
mate are ready to take the next step in a relationship.
You can go for the traditional bells, ribbons and white
envelopes. It’s the new millennium since weddings
are getting bigger and better. Invitations need to be over
the top like your bride's bust. So this year think outside
the box and have invitations like no other.
Everyone has their favorite cartoon or animated character.
So why not let your invitations tell your family and friends
that they are in for a wedding of a lifetime. You want your
invitations to standout like Yao Ming in munchkin land.
If you’re going for the cartoon theme, have your invitations
sent out like the T.V. Guide. Since most weddings happen
on Saturdays, why not format it to look like TV guide with
the necessary info. For example, the channel will be where
the wedding will be held. So stay tuned. The description
of the show will be information on the bride, groom and
all the people who is involved in it, etc. You can go in
many different directions with this one.
With people’s attention spans about as long as this
sentence, your invitations need to be a step above the rest.
Family and friends will be anxious to see Marge and Homer
Simpson's wedding day. Or even better Miss Piggy and Gonzo
saying "I Do".
Imagine the look on people’s faces when they open
up your invitations and it’s the theme song from T.N.M.T.
(Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). It doesn’t stop there
you pay an artist to draw you and your future wife to be
as Michelangelo and April O’Neill. Now who doesn’t
want to go to that wedding? I would be in attendance for
that one for sure. The sky’s the limit when it comes
to famous cartoon couples. Not fans of cartoons? Get your
geek on with comic characters. The artist can draw you both
as good versus evil coming together for the greater good,
your wedding day. Since we are in the digital age, you can
post your invitations anywhere such as MySpace, Facebook
or anywhere that you want it to be seen. It’s a great
way to give future newlyweds ideas on their wedding invitations.
Your emails can be personalized comic strips for your invitees,
giving them updates and what going on before the ceremony
so they won’t be surprised on what they would see
upon arriving.
Wedding invitations can be a great family bonding experience.
Everyone will get involved and laughs will come on deciding
who’s who. Dad could be Darth Vader and Mom is Princess
Leia. The important thing to remember is that you want your
wedding to be a great day to remember.
So why not make the pre-wedding festivities as big as the
wedding day with a personal touch? If you’re planning
on a wedding let your invitations prepare your family for
a memorable wedding day.
