For whatever reason, it often seems that the
small, simple parts of a wedding are the ones that take
the most time and effort to arrange: flower arrangements,
candles--and yes, wedding favors.
There are so many options available today in the area of
wedding favors that there are options now to fit just about
any budget or timeframe. But sometimes, the overwhelming
number of options is precisely what makes it so difficult:
How do you know which favors to choose? So to help you sort
through the maze, we offer these five ideas which, are almost
always a hit.
-
Flowers seem to always go over well, especially with
the ladies at your wedding. They're easy to arrange
and set up on the big day. Due to the very nature of
flowers (i.e., they're living things), you can leave
this until later on. This means you don’t have
to fret over them right now. If you choose to go with
this classic wedding favor, remember that a red rose
is a particularly good choice and requires very little
preparation.
-
Candy is another easy and inexpensive wedding favor
that almost everyone enjoys. Most people love having
a small box placed on the table next to them. Or in
some cases, you could give each wedding guest a small
bag, and point out to them a large bowl of candy in
the center of their table. This encourages them to fill
up their bag with candy from the table centerpiece.
This method makes wedding favors very convenient; it
saves you a lot of time, and is a lot of fun for the
guests.
-
Picture frames are also much-appreciated wedding favors.
And they can be made convenient, because you can use
them as placeholders for the occasion. You simply use
the frame to hold the person's place card at the table
and then inform them that the frames are theirs to keep
when they leave. This makes wedding favors a time-saver
for you because you've now killed two birds with one
stone.
-
And then finally, a unique and much-loved wedding favor
will be photos of the guest him / herself. Simply have
a photographer on hand to take pictures of each guest
at the event. They are then given a copy of the picture
to take with them. You may give them the option of having
the picture taken by themselves, or if they prefer,
having it taken with another wedding guest at the event.
This favor idea also serves a dual role for you: Not
only is it an easy way to provide a wedding favor that
the guests will long remember and appreciate but it
can provide you with even more photos for your own wedding
album.
Even if you don't use these ideas per se, allow them to
inspire you, as you begin to understand that there are creative
ways to thank your guests in a way that does not have to
be expensive, stressful or time-consuming. |
